Introducing...Meditations on the Creative Process

The idea for these meditations was born from my own frustrations with my creative process. Struggling to find a way to air them, I finally started to scribble a creative conversation with myself on top of one of my archive images - an image that didn't make the cut and wouldn't otherwise see the light of day. Not only did I find this very cathartic, but I also liked what I had created. And so the meditations were born. Topics span my own creative process, my experiences in the art world, and wider philosophical issues related to making art, such as photography ethics.
In order to fully realise the 'meditation' aspect of this body of work - which is integral to the creation of my original art pieces - and to weave in my passion in yoga and movement based expressive arts, I am also offering body based practices alongside each of the meditations so that readers can also creatively explore the questions in relation to their own work.
I hope that these meditations can be useful to others in their own creative journeys - whether by making you think or simply making you feel that you are not alone.
